I wanted to take a few moments today to share some exciting news about this weekend’s events, celebrate some truly incredible accomplishments, and, most importantly, recognize the amazing people who made it all happen.
I have to tell you, weekends like this remind me exactly why we started Market Street Creatives in the first place. What began as a dream just over a year ago continues to grow into something bigger and more special than I ever could have imagined.
And this weekend? We made history together!
But before we get to the numbers, I want to recognize the people behind this incredible weekend, because none of this happens by accident.
FIRST, AN ENORMOUS THANK YOU TO TYLER, ANTHONY, SARA & PETE!
I cannot say enough about the incredible job that Tyler, Anthony, Sarah, and Pete did putting together their two-day Spooktacular event!
Friday night’s train ride, vendor event, and magic show SOLD OUT, and the entire experience was absolutely fantastic!
The creativity, attention to detail, decorations, special effects, and countless hours of preparation that went into bringing this event to life and turning our warehouse into something out of a movie were nothing short of extraordinary.
What people saw this weekend was the finished product, but what they didn’t see were all the hours of planning, building, decorating, problem-solving, and hard work that happened behind the scenes.
Tyler, Anthony, Sarah, and Pete — you should be incredibly proud of what you accomplished. I know I am!
We are so fortunate to have you as part of the Market Street Creatives family. You didn’t just put on an event. You created an experience and memories for hundreds of families, and that is something truly special.
Thank you for believing in what we’re building here and for putting so much of yourselves into making it successful.
A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO COREY!
Our Fall Festival was a tremendous success, and I want to extend a special thank you to Corey for the incredible amount of time and effort she put into helping make it happen.
From countless emails and social media posts to coordinating activities, communicating with participants, and handling so many of the behind-the-scenes details, Corey dedicated many hours, including late nights and early mornings, taking time from her own businesses to helping ensure everything came together.
A huge thank you to Corey, Tyler, Anthony, and the entire team! Between countless meetings, emails, and probably a few smoke signals, their incredible teamwork ensured the Fall Festival and Spooktacular complemented each other and ran seamlessly. Two amazing events, one unforgettable weekend!
Corey, thank you for stepping up, taking on so much responsibility, and giving so generously of your time to help make this event a success. Your hard work and dedication are truly appreciated!
It’s exactly this kind of involvement and willingness to work together that makes our Market Street Creatives community so special.
DAYNA — OUR VERY OWN MSC SUPERHERO!
Now, I have to recognize someone who somehow manages to be everywhere, handle everything, solve problems before most of us even know they exist, and still keep smiling.
Our very own superhero, my “bestie,” Dayna!
Dayna, I don’t know how you do everything you do, but I am incredibly thankful that you do!
From keeping things organized to helping our small business owners, answering questions, managing the unexpected, and making sure everything throughout the venue continues to run smoothly, and the hardest job… keeping tabs on Rob and myself… you are an absolutely essential part of this team.
And this weekend was no exception.
While everyone else was enjoying the festivities, you were helping make sure everything behind the scenes was working the way it should.
Dayna, please know how much your hard work, dedication, loyalty, and willingness to always jump in wherever you’re needed mean to me personally and to Market Street Creatives.
We simply could not continue growing at the pace we are without you.

One of the things I want everyone to understand is that we organize events like these for YOU.
Our mission has always been to help the small businesses inside Market Street Creatives succeed. We want to bring more people through our doors, introduce new customers to your products, create excitement, and ultimately help you grow your sales and your businesses.
When our small business owners step up and participate, it makes these events even more meaningful.
We are not just a collection of individual stores under one roof. We are a community of entrepreneurs working toward something bigger.
And this weekend was a perfect example of what that community can accomplish when we come together.

Last, but certainly never least, I want to thank my amazing partners, Rob and Lynn.
There is so much that goes into keeping Market Street Creatives moving forward every single day, and so much of it happens quietly behind the scenes.
From turning crazy ideas into reality to tackling the endless challenges that come with building something like this, Rob and Lynn are always there helping move our vision forward.
We started this journey with a dream and a belief that we could create something truly different and special for Torrington and Litchfield County and for the small business community.
Rob and Lynn, thank you for your partnership, your hard work, your patience with my never-ending ideas, and most importantly, for continuing to believe in what we’re building together.
I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished, and even more excited about where we’re going.

Before this weekend, our single best shopping day in Market Street Creatives history was December 13, 2025.
Here is how that day compared to yesterday:
TOTAL SALES: $23,279. (Previous record: $20,431)
Customer Transactions: 562 (Previous record – 369)
People Through Our Doors/Attendance – 2,189 (Previous record: 1,678)
THAT’S RIGHT — WE BROKE ALL THREE RECORDS!
- $2,848 MORE in sales! An increase of nearly 14%!
- 193 MORE customer transactions! An incredible 52% increase!
- 511 MORE people! Over 30% more traffic!
Let those numbers sink in for a moment.
2,189 PEOPLE! IN ONE DAY!
And here’s what makes this even more exciting…
WE HAVEN’T EVEN REACHED THE HOLIDAY SHOPPING SEASON YET!
Our previous record was set during the height of the Christmas shopping season. We just surpassed it in October!
That tells me something incredibly important: People are discovering Market Street Creatives, they’re coming back, they’re bringing their friends and families, and they’re shopping!
And that is exactly what we set out to accomplish.
AND THE SUCCESS DIDN’T STOP INSIDE!
Our outside participating businesses were thrilled with the turnout and their results.
Even the food truck owner told us they did “Much better than we hoped!”
That’s the kind of feedback we love hearing!
And from what I understand, even the animals in the petting zoo had some pretty positive things to say about the event. Although, to be fair, most of their comments were about the food!
Seriously though, when everyone involved — from our permanent small businesses to our outside participants — benefits from an event, that’s when I know we’re doing something right.
LET’S RECOGNIZE OUR TOP FIVE SELLERS!
I know many of you are curious about who had the biggest sales day, so I wanted to recognize our top five selling small business owners!
For this particular ranking, I am excluding our food businesses, including Kaylan’s Kitchen, Cloud Nine Bake Shop, and Kaylan’s On The Go, as well as our permanent stores, including The Nest, Vintage Treasures/Magically Torie, and Posh Garage.
Those businesses would have occupied the top six positions, so I wanted to give our other small business owners their own moment in the spotlight!
OUR TOP FIVE:
- Caroline Maselli — Care’s Chocolates
- Lorraine Schrameck — Silver Touch
- Kristy Hughes — Purple Goddess Crystals and Gifts
- Matt Kodnia — The Dancing Jerk
- Shannon Lesniewski — Three Bees
Congratulations to all five of you on an incredible day!
But here’s something else that I think is even more impressive.
While I’m not sharing anyone’s individual sales figures, more than 100 additional small businesses finished within just $100 of our fifth-place seller!
Think about that!
That means there was an incredibly tight group of businesses competing for positions 6 through approximately 110.
To me, that’s one of the most exciting statistics of the entire weekend.
Why?
Because it shows that the success wasn’t limited to just a handful of stores. So many of our small business owners were participating in the excitement and benefiting from the tremendous number of customers who came through our doors.
THAT IS WHAT SHARED SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE!
And that’s exactly the kind of environment we want to continue creating.
Every person who helped organize this weekend, every volunteer, every small business owner who participated, every customer who walked through our doors, and every member of our team contributed to this success.
And while we should absolutely celebrate these numbers, I want us to remember something:
We’re just getting started.
We have so many exciting things ahead of us, so many opportunities to explore, and so much more we can accomplish together.
The holiday shopping season is right around the corner, and if this weekend is any indication of what’s ahead, I think we have a lot to be excited about!
